hi guys sorry if this sounds silly but can you buy the foam grip for rods as i have purchase a very long surf rod and its fine for casting but on the retrieve i wanna hold it higher up so my arms dont drop off and also more leverage when i have a fish on, any info would be helpful

I used shrink tube when I had the same issue because you just slip it over everything and then use boiling water.
Beats a rod rebuild scenario.

I think it was the 45 mm stuff I used.
It shrinks 50% and saves loads of hassle if you can do it.

Just measure your route(for approx widest point) and where you want it to go with a ruler.

If it's 50% or more at the fitting point then yer laffing.
Then build up to four tubes on top of each other kinda thing for a nice simple nae hassle foregrip.
The first shrinkwrap should be attached to something on the blank that gives it stability.
After that the others are a doddle.
