Hello All,

I'm a new member here.
I've recently purchased a Warrior 165 fitted with a Yamaha 80, previously I have owned a couple of RIBs.
My main interest will be some sea fishing and taking the family & friends on day trips.
Although I'm based in Cheshire the boat is stored on the Menai Strait near to Caernarfon.
Quite a few little jobs to be done on her before I'm happy - she's been sitting in the water for 18 months, hardly used and needs a good clean all over.

I've got to figure out how to launch& recover a much heavier boat single-handedly as well so any tips appreciated !

No, there's a private slipway at the marina where I keep it.
It's pretty wide. I'm thinking of getting one of the long, solid bars that attaches between the trailer and car so I can get the boat out a bit further without getting the car near the salt water.
Getting it back on the trailer single handed looks a bit challenging - lining it up properly etc..
Are those guides on the trailer worth getting? or is it a case of practice makes perfect ?

My advice is get yourself a mate, one with a landrover that likes boat fishing, it is so much easier with two, I have my missus help me as she loves fishing off the boat, and don't mind wearing waders.
