just bought a ttr big danny and a penn 525 mag extra off me dad cos hes just had his hips replaced and carnt cope with the cold any more just wanted to know what it casts and fishes like,im off out with it at the weekend on parton beach advice please steven.

it is a very good tourney rod had a few casts of one and even with a full blooded pendulum i could not put much bend in the mid section the tip is responsive though meaning it will show a whiting bite at 100yds+,a very tough casting rod even the boys on the field have trouble with this rod,, if you are the same size and build of danny then it may just suit you otherwise you are going to have your arms ripped off a few times lol personally i do not rate it as it is not a fishing pole tight`uns

just got a ttr my self not the big danny version but there the same, very nice rod and it is abit stiff i used mine twice and both times had a bad back lol then left it in a few days the third time i used it was better though much easier to cast. love the 1 iv got im glad i baught it just takes abit of gettin used to
