Ordered a new rod from Mainwarings of Swansea after seeing there advert in Sea Angler. the service was awesome and it didn't finish there, got the rod delivered the very next day. After fishing with it 3 times I noticed a small crack on the bottom of the butt which didn't affect its performance but after speaking to Rob Mainwaring was told it could spread up the blank. After arranging to pick the rod up on Thursday I have today received a brand spanker. What service!! It is without doubt the best service I have ever encountered in any industry even surpassing Veals mail order. I am no advert but in an ultra competitive industry it is nice to see someone taking a step further than they might to sort out a problem!!

Yup - I have had good service from Mainwarings when I bought my Aspire there, and when I bothered them about getting some Shimano Antares "silk shock" mono (one of those super-thin monos - I'll post it in the prodcut reviews, eventually) which they had to order from Shimano.

It's nice that they bothered to swap your rod before it broke (perhaps while you were fishing with it), rather than ask you to "wait and see" - there is no profit in that for them....apart from good customer relations.
