Stonkin fish John. My first thought was a very pale coloured grey gurnard ad the pectoral fins on a tub are very round and blue tipped? Grey or tub you whop the record by a whole pound :) Well done.

Well done John my son checked out the weight yesterday while I was heading round to Airds bay I passed the info to Bobo who passed over to you, I was quite amazed at how much it broke the current record by and thanks for a great day out

get it down the post office for a weight on calibrated scales john.even if its heavier or lighter by a few ounces it still smashes the previous record.lovely fish and a real highlight of the weekend. you have plenty witnesses,so the claim should be straight forward enough. well done !
cheers rab

Cheers Rab, it's in the freezer, if I have it weighed surely it'll be heavier 'cos it's frozen?
dont think so john, will only be the existing water content thats frozen.if anything it will have dropped a bit of weight since capture. think if you get the scales calibrated it was weighed on that might do.
someone that knows the process should be able to help if you contact the SFSA tomorrow.
cheers rab
