Hi. I a new angler to the area and would appreciate some help. I've tried the docks without much luck. I fished the Knap many years ago but have lost touch with the fishing. Could you guys out there put me on the right track with where to go in the local area. I'm of average ability but keen to improve. Thanks Guys.

^^^^^^ as above ray is a top match angler and will give you all the info you need but from me there is jackson bay on the wall(breakwater with the white light ), nells point, friars point all worth a go for rays, eel's and the knap tends to fish better on the bigger tides and most baits will catch hope this helps mate :)
we got fishing club in barry sea view lads angling next meating is on the 18th of this month , up the west end labour club we have comp every sunday and 1 a month on tuesdays we fish all round barry and vale we got over 50 members ,great way to get knoledg of all the marks hope to see you there tite lines
hi would not bother with the knap its well over fished and very quite this time of year was down there saturday and fished very poorly give it till end of month and shoud be producing good fish but if u want to catch enything decent u should try the boat or go west fishing pembroke tenby way some nice cod n whiting coming off the beaches down there best of luck mate tight lines:thumbs:
Thanks to all you great guys. I'll pop in the shop and have a chat. May call by the west end and join you for a pint and a chat ttr.
I've heard that most of the marks in the area are a bit snaggy and you need to know exactly where and when to fish them ... Is that right. I'm not the greatest of casters but can manage around 80m on a good day.
