can't compare the seychelles with the hampshire coast?? Last time I was there I did'nt get the chance to put my rod on the tripod before getting it ripped out of my hands with the giant red bass at Anse Royale.

Thanks for all of the kind replies guys, and very spooky that MASTERBAIT was only staying a stones throw from us when we were staying at Ans Aux Pins, fantastic place, has anyone got any tips for me on how i should attempt my shore sea fishing trip.

hey harry, spooky? lol! I personally think that fishing is actually more fun on the hampshire coast than the seychelles when you get the hang of it. You need to do a lot of homework however if you want to catch nice fish. You can start off by heading down your local beach at low tide.

I suppose i`d better come clean fellas, my avid if not very anal carp fishing boyfriend has bet me that i can`t catch a sea fish before he catches a pb carp (30+), i asked a friends boyfriend what rod and reel to buy hence thats what i`ve put down as my favourite rod and reel, my work takes me all over the south coast and mostly near the seaside, what i really need is some help and advice to hopefully beat my boyfriend at what he thinks he does best.

your best bet would be to book up a session with ian houlton
who is a level 2 fishing coach....he will stear you in the right direction,
but be gentle with him as he is no spring chicken anymore!:bounce:

guy....
he will be able to send you any riggs you require to do he job in hand!
