Got into sea fishing couple of years ago, went a couple of times and joined the NFSA as they provided some insurance cover incase of damage etc.

Anyway I was always a complete newby to fishing, any kind of fishing and haven't been since but am hoping to get some shore fishing done again this summer up in scotland while on holiday.

I have had a quick look about the net and there is lots of links from 2007/2008 about a proposed rod license for sea fishing being implemented from 2009 and there is a link which suggests the NFSA were going to disband?

Can I ask about the legality of the sport and any national organisation like the NFSA that I could join in the same way that the NFSA was useful to join for anglers etc?

Cheers for any and all advice you can give.
