had mine since they came out, superb rods, performs well with 5oz + decent baits, plenty of poke in the bottom two thirds to handle decent fish, I use mine for Raying in my local Estuaries matched with Akios CTM's. a superbly balanced outfit that will handle all the areas I fish. Also casts really well, really smooth, overall opinion there spot on for all but rough ground.

the power is just that kenny, I had a look the them as well, bit over the top for what I want, but everyone who has them are very pleased with them, more suited for rough ground methinks , ask Polar Stu, he has all the info on the sport icons

Went down Ogmore way yesterday on an invitation to fish for rays, only took my two match rods with me, as it is clean ground, totally forgot how much tidal pull there was but was happy all day casting with 7oz leads and big squid/ sandeel baits, it actually helped having the softer tips which bent with the tide and reduced the amount of lead pull!

Would agree with the above comments though if fishing on rough ground step up to the powers.

Cheers
