Had a go off the rocks at Nigg - a few (4) mackerel along with flatties and saithe up to high tide and then the wind/swell got to be too much.

Hi seaside

Were you are the lighthouse side, or the coastguard station side of nigg?

Further down, near Portlethen I have seen only a few mackerel, but also a few saithe up to 1 1/2 lb. Lost a real good fish when feathering for mackerel, which I put down to a being a good pollock. It appears that the mackerel are not here in big numbers at the moment. Hopefully the weather sill stay settled for a couple of weeks to bring them in.

Coastguard or south side.

Haven't had too many goes down Portlethen and I've yet to hit it when there's plenty (of any fish) about. BTW the boats were hauling in mackerel off Dunnotar last night.
