Nipped down to Crawton today for a quick spin over high tide - no mackerel, just a few saithe.

yeah noticed this year there aint the same number of sandeels and saithe.i think the macky fishing will be poor this year .

I agree with there being a lack of Mackerel on the East coast. They might still appear in numbers yet, everyone else seems to be getting them.

Plenty of Saithe up this area, pulling them in ding-dang about a few hundred yards from the rocks. There seems to be plenty sandeels on the go here too, the harbours are full of them.

It's the Cod that are lacking....
