Fishing was patchy, 19th to 21st April 2007, day 1 - 2 Bull Huss to 10lb, wrasse, pollack and flounders. Day 2 - wrasse, pollack and, a couple of dogs (quite a few blanked). Day 3 - very poor, venue moved to local beach as vintage car rally was taking over road round Black Head, one conger, couple of dogs and several wrasse caught, multiple blanks. Fishing should pick up in May according to locals, with ray species putting in an appearance. This event is possibly being moved further south next year and might be held in May 2008 (competition timetable permitting) to give a chance of better catches. 29 out a max 50 fished this event, next's year's might be oversubscribed? Anyway if interested you would need to join your nation's EFSA section http://www.efsa.co.uk/index.htm
Best thing about Ireland was the craic, unbelievable and fast moving, as usual.
