I am fairly new to sea fishing however i would like to take my children (2boys aged 9 and 11) either beach casting or from a pier or on a boat. We live in blackburn about 45 minutes drive to morecambe or fleetwood etc.
Any body got any tips or information about the best place to go?

its just as easy to get to the mersey :D

mainly fishing from walls with railings in front so quite safe for the kids

try - mariners wharf , jag house or otterspool in liverpool
or hall road in crosby

for more information go to www.castandcatch.co.uk

its a shame but one of the best marks (seaforth rocks and the alexandria dock wall) was recently lost to us as it seems that all anglers are terrorists :( .
Two local lads are up in court would you believe for fishing the same place that they have for years
again - for more information go to cast and catch
there is a petition there aswell = please could ALL anglers sign it as who knows - it could be YOUR local venue being closed next
