I know that east winds can make the fishing poor around the barrow area due to them not making the waves that churn the sea bed up releasing the food, but not sure why northerlies make the fishing poor but southerlies don't:confused: I know i have been fishing for a long time:wheelchai and shud know the answer i suppose but the simple fact is i don't, thanks in advance for the answer.

Hmmm interesting, maybe i'm not the only one who doesn't know the answer:g:. or maybe the northerlies don't have that much effect on the fishing around barrow. It's just that i have read on this forum from different people not to bother when the wind is blowing from the north or east.

Possibly because the flood tides come up the Irish Sea/Morecambe Bay and a wind in the opposite direction would negate their positive effects?
