dont rush it paul. try exercising it each day. put a reel on a rod butt and practice winding it. this will help to build the muscels back up and get the rotation back. but take it easy at first.

dont try punching anything with it though :)

No op required ! that is good news. Looking forward to a days fishing with ya but go steady for a while.

Well wont be long now before im wetting a line again, plaster off this morning all ok but very stiff and sore should be able to get out in the next couple of weeks with the flattie bashing gear.:clap2:

aye not over doing it got a soft ball to grip in me hand and keep pressing it have to bend me fingers in every 2 hours even if it kills lol hand is swollen right up but physio says it will go down in about 3 days with lots of exercise got to go and see him every week to make sure evrything is ok....soon as me hand goes down i'll be down the tyne just exercising it every couple of days with a spinning rod then move on to me bze then when i get the ok off the physio and doctor wee hee it will be the beastys with me supermags lol

It,s gotta be fit by june 1st... my first hound came on the 6th last year Paul mate, you don,t want to miss em . Glad to hear you,re on the mend mate .... Chris

Every ones so happy for you mate, im not i want a tt sport:schmoll: i think you should leave it at least a year before you get back into the fishing mate (give me time to save up) LOL

Hello bigpaul.

Congrats on getting the plaster off, i got mine off last friday and the specialist is clueless.
He does not keep anybody in plaster longer than four weeks because he said he believes in quality of life:g: :g: :g: .
I had a double fracture to my metortarsel in my foot, he said i have to give it three weeks, if it goes in that time then i will need the dreaded pins.

Hope everything is fine with your hand, and dont try and do too much too quick.
