Outer Thames Estuary REC Final Report
The Marine ALSF has commissioned a series of broadscale, regional surveys to develop understanding of Britains submerged habitats and heritage.
The aim of the Regional Environmental Characterisation (REC) studies is to acquire data of the highest quality and detail possible to enable broadscale characterisation of the seabed habitats, their biological communities and potential historic environment assets within the regions.
The first REC study to report in this Round 3 of the Marine ALSF, the Outer Thames Estuary, is now complete and the final report is available to download from this website under projects http://www.alsf-mepf.org.uk/projects.aspx.
The final outputs of the project consist of report and data appendices.
The interpreted data GIS outputs from the Outer Thames study will shortly be available at http://www.marinealsf.org.uk (which also hosts the survey data acquired in 2007).
