Fished the ebb at pakefield this afternoon, just wanted to try my new anyfish anywhere six and bait rod, i had a close in rod with rag and a distance with peeler but not a touch all session! ):

I did notice a large trawler working from kessingland all the way to lowestoft south pier not even a mile out, maybe this could be effecting the fishing? It must of trawled up and down 10 times!!!

Shame he has to be so close but he's a one man band been doing it for years he gets so close to the reefs at Sea Palling I am surprised he doesn't loose his gear.

He only takes the shrimps the net throws all the other fish back :clap2:

Once he has trashed there he will continue Southwold to Sizewell then work his way back to Norfolk

I hate to think how many boxes of sole, sorry shrimps he has landed this year.

Hurtful but true

I very much doubt he will be landing more than his allocated by-catch when it comes to soles . The fines for doing so if you are caught are truely staggering. That boat earns up to 10k a week on shrimp alone ....absolutly no need for him to risk losing his house boat and massive fines by landing fish hes not meant to have . Its never botherd me to see shrimp boats working when i have been fishing . Normally when the shrimp boats are about there is plenty of fish to be caught too.

brings them in and on the feed by stirring up the bottom and putting feed into the water.
