Hi,

I'm a new member, living across the pond in New Jersey, U.S.A.
Will be coming to London on Holiday and just want to fish.
The Question is where do I go for Sea Fishing?
Also, what's the best time of the year for Cod Fishing?

We don't use the term Party Boat over here, you need to ask for Charter Boats that take individual bookings. Usually the maximum number of anglers is 8 but often 6. Check also that the skipper can hire rods and provide bait. There are web sites that provide contact details - within an hour or two from London you should be able to reach Brighton, any of the Essex or main Kent ports, also Littlehampton, Langstone (next to Portsmouth) and Portsmouth itself. Cod fishing is not very reliable in the South of England, in Summer they can be caught on the ofshore wrecks but Winter (October to January) is generally considered the best time for cod around that part of the country.
