fished the toms point today with my mate russell p, his dad and mumbly. set up out of the howling westerlies feeling good as the surf was kicking up a treat and i had lots of crab as i cancelled a hound sesh, anyways first cast on both rods out withing 20 mins bang bang a cracking bite, i had no idea what this could be as i was using just crab was it a bass, a small hound who knows, i lifted into a nice weight with plenty of fight from the other end, the fish stayed deep all the way in till the end, when i saw the ray surface, initially though it was a blonde but on closer inspection found that it was a spotty, it weighed in at bang tidy 5lb which is not bad for a spotty and a pb for me, on peeler crab too hmmmmm. dead then for 4hrs, Tipical .. then a dog on when i was packing up russel p blanked so did his dad and mubly had 2 dogs.
