any one no were i can pick my own peeler crab in the the northeast as i want to freeze it for the winter months . also is it the right time to get it . i live in durham so the closer the better thanx lads

The beaches at Ryhope and Seaburn could be worth a go for a few.
Try in the dark with a lamp,saves turning any rocks over..

Often crabs will come out of their hiding places more at night.

Especially spider crab or various species of crabs that are carrying the female peeler of softie underneath.

So night time can be easier to find some crabs for bait sometimes.More picking them up than searching them out from their hiding places.
