Went over to Penbryn at the weekend to check on the van and the boat after the winter. Boat wintered well and can't wait to get out ASAP.

Took a walk down to Penbryn beach to see what effect the storms had had. The beach was sand from end to end last summer but after the storms the beach is now covered in stones especially at the right hand end by the cave and there's a fairly steep shelf still evident. The dunes at the back of the beach have been pushed back 2-3 m and there's some large gouges in them

Has anyone fished it recently? Didn't get the chance myself this weekend as the time was too short.

It will be interesting to see how the beach changes over the coming months and what effect the changes have on the fishing.

I might head down this afternoon. Not the most productive beach for me recently so torn between a doggie sesh on aberporth or looking for a few flatties at penbryn. I will let you know when I get back.

Biggest fear is what these storms have done to the shellfish populations. I dont mean to swear but I may have to fish the river. Urghhh even the thought eh :-D. At least I have the boat this year.
