saturday 17 BOATS 61 anglers between them set out from penzance harbour for the first days fishing 28 fish back to the scales conger, pouting, ling, red gurnard ,garfish cuckoo wrasse ,brill, greater weaver many more caught but did not reach minimum size for this comp

sunday some left the harbour only to return shortly after, too rough! maybe could have fished close in but in the name of health and safety it was decided to call off the days fishing and decide the competition on just one days fishing, not every body is happy with this, but sometimes it is best to err on the side of caution when the sea is concerned

so the winning fish is a garfish of 2lb 6oz caught by mark johns fishing on his own boat "" OFF THE HOOK"" , and second a cuckoo wrasse of 1lb 5oz 14dm caught by nicky morse skipper of and fishing from local charter boat ""VIKING"" third a greater weaver of 1lb 6oz 4dm caught by dave ladner fishing from private boat""PERRAN BELL"
In total 6 fish were weighed at over 100% of their specimen weight
Bob Shotter picks up the pools money for the heavest fish with a conger of 33lb 9oz 10dm
