Hello all,

I didn't make it last weekend to Porthcawl as I was intending as my oldest lad got a fever. :(

But now we're booked into a caravan site at Port Eynon Bay. The owner said it's about 300yds to the beach. :)

Does anyone know if it's worth fishing this beach and what can I expect to catch there or should we go instead to Rhossili ?

Port Eynon - Rocks to the left and right hand side of the bay with clean sand in the middle. It's best fished at night. Best place is near the rocks on the left hand side of the beach. The swimmers and surfers avoid it. I haven't fished there since Easter 2004 so I don't know how it's doing, but I had doggies, strap conger and a few whiting.

Plenty of info on here about Rhossilli if you have a look.

Hope this helps

Rob

That does help, Thanks.
As I'm taking the family and they want to have a go too, I think we should probably be targetting mackerel in the daytime ( and I could try for Bass).

So maybe we'd be better off at Rhossili.

I might try having a go at the dogfish at Port Eynon on Saturday evening on my own though.
