Spent three hours fishing off the headland at Porthdinllaen on the Lleyn on Sunday. Sea was like a mill pond and very hot in the sun, but lovely to be out in it (sun cream was a requirement!!).

Fished either side of high tide, using float. Also tried feathers with a dexter wedge on the end. Nothing on the feathers/wedge at all, but had three wrasse (two ballan and one corkwing I think) all to lug worm dug from Llanbedrog beach. The corkwing was v small but the two ballans were reasonable size and put up a good fight... great fish to catch.

Fished a nice spot into fairly deep water (float was set at 20ft and still wasn't on the bottom even on the lower high tide).

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
