I am heading to portland in the morning from bristol for my first lure session .Can anyone advise where the best place to park is close to the prison .

Grove Road, back of the prison. There are a couple of parking bays right next to the path down to the beach.

Keep going down until you find the footpath proper, then take that path to the right until you find a track down to the sea. To the left of the sewer pipe outlet is a series of large rocks that you can get up and cast from if you're careful. Have seen bass and pollack caught from here. Good luck and keep us posted!
