hi all
going to the powfoot area on the solway for a week begining of september need info on any marks and what type of bait to use/what species will be found that far up the s/firth

Have not fish that far down myself, but went past it often enough. Very tidal, so expect flounder to be the main if not only species. Also try Annan harbour for mullet. For flounder you should be able to dig lugworm at Powfoot itself.

dont have to go as far as annan .mullet come up the pow burn in numbers as far as the bridge in the village have fished there a couple of times never caught one .but annan harbour could be your best bet have a friend who has caught mullet there on various occasions .

Thanks for the replys lads :clap3: will prob need to go further down the coast for other species if she who must be obeyed gives me the nod
