Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone could shed a little light on a problem I have with my 7ht.

I have just stripped it down cleaned the bearings etc etc after last nights trip. Now I got it back together and I noticed when its in free spool if you spin the spool towards you the handle turned really really slowly aswell as if it isnt going totally into freespool, also this seems to be significatly slowing down the spool.

Can anyone shed and light on why it may be doing this, or whats causing it.

did you clean the gears out when you stripped it?

maybe something hasn't gone back quite as it should be.

Didnt take all the gears etc out. Just popped bearing out cleaned them, and put a bit of liquid grease down into the gears. I was using it last night and I didnt notice anything, but it could have been going on for a while, dont think its particularly anything to do with takin it apart and puttin it back together. Just cant seem to pin down whats causing it :g:

might be drag of the grease ,see if theres resistance in the handle when its in freespool
my bets on contaminated gearing
