would like to know what any of you out there might think of the idea of building offshore reefs maybe 1 mile out to sea?
A) to protect the shoreline against winter storms
B) to create a natural environment and breading ground for marine wildlife
C) to stop the trawlers from coming within casting distanc of the shore under cover of darkness

I have written to the environment agency, sea angler, total sea fishing about this very subject and received diddly squat back about it. I know of a few places that have set up artificial reefs but they take years to plan and impliment.

I have offered my services free of charge to help in the build of these reefs but nothing has come back. So in the end i would be glad to hear if anyone else has had any luck finding out what is going on.
