fished from Paul's boat yesterday along by purfleet bird sanctuary.
a few bites from the start, mostly eels & small bass. as the tide eased off some better bass come along, a couple of keepers for me, about 2lb each. then a lovely fish of around 5lb for rose!!!(her first one). nice to see some good fish still around.
Some lads fishing on beach near us caught at least one bass.
lots of small fish jumping too, dunno what they were, only small fish about 4 inches long.
lovely afternoon to be out. fished ebb down to low water.

Nice fish. Congratulations to Rose. That should make a good dinner.

There's some Dill or Fennel growing near the playground on Grays Prom. That would go well with it.

Bass would be alright with the herb superb - but you can safely assume the kids will have smoked the lot and left us the dill.

I dropped round some that weed. Did Rose enjoy it?

Dill I mean....there's load of it down there, you could flog it to Morrisons.
