As a newbie i've heard good things about the Ranny. As I'm not a fan of an early death, what would be the maximum tide height to fish safely?. Looking at going 2hrs before and 2hrs after.

Thanks in advance of your replies.

Nothing over 12m, even know 12m is pushing it or even unfishable with a strong wind.

Hi Mate

as others have said don't fish it on a 12m or bigger on the cardiff scale....that is 12m Cardiff arrowsmiths tide table, the likes of which are sold in the tackle shops like Gary Evans and Keens.

if your looking on any other site - especially web based ones they use different sets of datum so don't fish it on anything bigger than an 11.2m cardiff easytide.com prediction.

Cheers John will pop in and pick one of those tide tables up.

Well worth the money...think there £2.50 but they also have some good information on the fishing marks around south wales too.
