Has anybody tried the J-5?
I gave it some water time the other day when it was quite calm and had some follows but no takes.
It casts okay for a light jointed lure and swims quite shallow with a real life-like action.
Think I will get a couple more in more natural colors than the rainbow trout that I have at the moment.

I had two jointed rapalas in the small size which I always thought would be good for perch but never had a fish on them. The non jointed lures always seemed to work better for me in sizes below 4cms

The j5 in brown trout is my go to lure for freshwater, had alsorts on it including salmon. Will try the blue/white pattern in saltwater when i get the chance, never really given it a proper go.
Recently been using a daiwa dr minnow joint which is a fraction smaller than the rapala. Deadly for trout. IMG_0198.JPG This is a fish taken recently on the daiwa. Photo0340.jpg .
