I figured as I got my last 2 Rays back in February I should probably make the most of them before they clear off, so last night another Ray session in the solent.

Fished with my friend and some local Southampton boys (Who loved their Zzipplex rods)

Fished Mackerel opposed to the favored Bluey and sand Eel and produced these 2 beauty's.

1.5lb Thorny first up....

Then I hooked in to something that felt a little better.

A male weighing 5lb exactly...

If the guys from Southampton/Portsmouth are members here, great to meet you, very friendly and was fun watching some serious casters!

Good stuff, I have to head down and try for a ray soon, nice seeing decent sized fish at this time of year.
