Just back from an afternoon stroll along the low water line at The Knap.
Always worth a look for lost tackle and other items.

Today I came across a baby tope. Hooked onto a lost rig.
Road surface Asphalt Wood Scaled reptile Landscape

Lucky it hadn't been stranded for long and a quick unhook had it back in the water to recover and swim away. Hopefully to survive and grow.

Back at the car I untangled the rig and disposed of the other line.
An up and over rig with pennal hooks.

Hi Gareth. The pebbles on the sand come and go depending on the sea state. I often wish they would stay to create a bit of a feature.
As for your last comment been a lot better this year than in previous times. Which is good to see.

Very rarely loose a rig down there my self. 😁👍

T b f iv tried to recover a baby tope or even a large hound a couple of times at mumbles foreshore at low,they seem healthy enogh! Iv done it while either fishing or collecting bait! Unhook it take into deeper water they seem to thrash the tail and head out,but 5 mins later they end up in the swallows once again,i dont know what happens to them but their half dead as soon as we find them!
