Any wind from the east is generally rubbish fishing.
A SW wind is normally the best wind to have along the south coast and especially after a big SW blow.Use xcweather for your wind predictions.Anything over 15mph from S or SW is difficult fishing.
If the wind is from the north than the sea should be flat calm.
'Wind from the east fishing least,
wind from the west fishing best.

Sometimes after a bit of rough weather the fishing should be good on a dying sea.If the sea is stirred up,the fish can come in to feed. But youve still got to be in the right place at the right time.Youve got to put tide size ,time of day and moon into the mix too sometimes. But get it all right with a bit of luck thrown in and if your in the right place youll get that special day. Some good sessions have been had when the wind is in the wrong direction according to the text books. If your not fishing you wont be catching, thats the only sure thing in fishing.
Get to know your area through others who are local is the quickest way to good catches.

Luck is the biggest factor. If you turn up to a beach
not feeling lucky than you might as well go home!
