Another fabulous day of weather and another dose of sunburn! The fishing though today compared to yesterday just couldnt of been so different!...Yesterday was a struggle..today was a walk in the park!...Great fishing,20+ Roker and 13 of them around 8-10lb and a sprinkling of small smoothounds too! A few whiting also put in an appearance and NO codling today so it looks as though these have at last left for the wrecks for another summer. The roker today were more interested in Herring where as they have had more of a likeing for Squid.Again we also had a bucket of prime peelers for the hounds and again the crab just was of no interest to anything and not one fish was caught on this bait.
Another couple of weeks of this weather should see the first of the Tope being caught and this is when the larger females are usually taken, the time when the British record could so easily be smashed!
Around this time should also see the hound fishing start to take off, again with the big females being caught.
Any of you thinking of booking a charter should do it now as bookings will be hard to come by when the summer fishing is at it's peak.
Tight lines!!
