Young Hogster and I braved the waves and launched THOR into the Stour although we got a trifle damp in the nether regions in doing so. The wind was blowing quite strongly down the river. Anchored on the Essex side just past the oil tanks and had a few, whiting, codling and bass-lets but nothing exciting.
Decided to to drift fish further upstream towards Holbrooke Bay but this only produced a couple of bass-lets for me on very light tackle.
Reverted to near original spot for lunch and this steadily produced a mixed bag but came difficult once the flood started and wind was against tide.
Back to drift fishing but bites were few and far between. Hogster had a nice sizable bass which he returned.
We had a nice day between the showers and had 20-25 fish, all on ragworm.
Recovering the boat was a jolly task and we had a "wet trowser" journey home!
nice day though :clap3:

Well done fellas.
At least you had some action for your troubles.
Hopefully the weather and fishing will improve a bit soon.
