I am going on holiday near there in 2 weeks time and I was wondering if anybody knows how this area fishes. I'm thinking of fishing either from the spit of sand that juts out from the Saunton sands side or the pebble ridge on the other side between Zulu bank and Westward Ho.

Never fished here but walked past it on the Coast Path and I thought at the time that it looked an inviting spot.

Does anybody have any info on this area about what I could catch here and best location, times, baits etc.

Westward Ho is known for some smoothies to crab baits and squid baits.

There are also bass around at the moment to sandeel and worm baits.

If yo fish inside the estuary and not the open sea then make sure you use local baits from the estuary - foreign baits dont work at all. :) The big flounder are there but september onwards is better.
