You not found any in the crouch .......ever ? I know a few people who have had plenty , I just been fishing since last May down here so hopefully this year I will bag one

good luck jim let me know how you get on fingers crossed there will be some :fish:about ,there have been acouple caught so far but not in numbers yet now its getting warmer the crabs will start to molt would of gone down there as well but got to go to work for 3.5 hours bummer,ive just seen the height of the tide thats going to pis? through i only fish the crouch up to a 5.3mtr tide at southend ive used 7oz leads and its still drifted but you have got to try

Found a change of lead type rather than weight helps when it's on a big ebb. Namix shape but long thick wires defo better for me

thats what im using now in the 6 3/4oz no problems ive all ways done well on smaller neap tides 4.8 up to 5.3mtr southend table

Had a go last week no good but the crab are out in force "so are the whiting" they stayed away from the herring though so may be worth 1 out with that and the other with bluey that will save a blank

Fished the crouch last sunday with just bluey, managed a couple of whiting, a dogfish (my first ever from the crouch) and a chubby little codling. No rays unfortunately

wow, dogfish in the crouch, Ian normally when the tide rips through theres never anything doing for me anyways, never had a fish either side of high when its pulling. Im trying sandeel tommorrow see how that fairs, and old faithful lug, just any excuse to get out and fish really lol:laugh:
