Hi
Im staying in Rock for a few days soon. I am really pushed for space in the car. Will prob try plugging around the rocks to right of Daymer but Im also thinking of fishing baits on bottom for Bass n Bream. Never fished baits here before and need to know if I can get away with a couple of lighter rods and 2-3oz breakout weights or am I going to need my beachcasters and 5-6ozs to combat tide?
I may have to walk from Rock to Daymer if wife takes car out. Is the small bay between Rock car park and the dunes to left of Daymer worth a go?

Sorry its another one of those posts.
Cheers

hi. I am down here on holiday at the moment. I have fished here a bit in the past and not needed much lead. I also dont think a particuarlt big cast is needed, which helps. I watched an old fella fishing at daymer bay once. he was bait fishing with peeler crab at the rocks just to the right of the beach. he was just doing a 20 or 30 yard lob and pretty much touch legering using a light bomb. he was catching nice bream. this was at low tide so he would be landing on the sandy bottom. at high tide you would need a long cast to get across the rough ground or be prepared to loose tackle!
