Rock edge

419 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Malks
I have been on puppy duty (and still am!) for a month now, he can pee every 15 minutes, anyhow, I have a pass out at the weekend. Any rock marks anyone can recommend for throwing some metals?

I am in Ryhope and a member of Seaham fishing club

thank you

St Mary's to Seaton Sluice, or is that too far? Personally I would use SP's weedless

It's a shame the tides are crap this weekend. Nice weather though.
I had a canny plaice on a lure at blyth pier a couple of weeks ago, bouncing a metal along the bottom. Blyth only throws up a decent fish now and then.
I seen a monkfish caught on a lure 2 years ago and i know a guy that caught a smoothhound a few years ago. Big surprise I know. The place is usually dead though, fish wise.
I was also at whitley pipe the other day. Only managed 20 mins as I was running late and tide was coming in.
I had a couple of hits but nothing and then lost a pollock right in front of me. Was only about 1lb. As soon as it clouded over all the action stopped.
The rock mark to the right of the pipe is a good spot aslong as its not rough. Browns point or bay I think it's called. Will be a good spot on these tides as you wont really have to move. There is a youtube video from about 10 years ago of a guy diving and spear fishing at that spot and he had some good pollock.
Lots of launce to be caught at ssp too atm if you want some bait for the freezer.
Also cambois beach fishes well more often than not. Usually throws up something nice. You don't want a sea on though.
