Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some good fishing points around the south coast. Can anyone recommend any good rock points around southampton, gosport, portsmouth or hayling island.

Any info and tips on what is being caught in these areas would really be appreciated as i am driving up that way on bank holiday weekend

Hi Princess,

Unfortunately we don't have any rock marks it's all shingle/sand beaches in the solent. Plenty to fish though with many piers and deep water close in.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, then samphire hoe nr Dover is a very rocky mark, with good fish to be had - just make sure you have a rotten bottom link, and plenty of terminal tackle
