Hey all,

Id like to get a new rod / reel for my Son, JJ who's 6, he's a lil lad and is currently using a flimsy rod thats about 5ft long.

Is there such a thing as quite a short shore rod? or can any of you recommend anything?

Im not moaning about the flimsy rod - see the pics of the bass he caught on one of those flimsy child set ups....

Thanks
G

lovely bass! well done to the young lad....

Beach rod wise I think the shortest is around 10ft, something like a bass rod, to go shorter I reckon it would need to be something like a heavy spinning rod.
If anything what ever the rod he`ll grow into it so to speak lol

Hi mate
A light uptide rod might fit the bill.

You could try a conoflex cast`n ' snatch, maybe try and pick up a second hand one if possible to keep the cost down, comes with different butt sections making a 9ft rod and a 11ft outfit...best part is you get to use it too:victory:
