<font color='#000000'>Hi Mature Student,

Have you looked at the K.I.S. Protection Case or the Plano Flight Case?

They are expensive but will protect your rods. I use the K.I.S. when I go Cod fishing in Norway and Ireland.

The airlines will not allow you to transport them inside the cabin, and will not guarantee their safety.

As an alternative, have a look at the Shimano Exage travelling rods, I witnesed a 55lb Conger being caught with a 20 - 30lb boat rod, coupled with an Abu 6500 reel and was very impressed, in fact I am saving for one at present.

Hope this helps, or, why not contact the horses mouth,
(airline) they will give you an answer.

Cheers
