anyone fished rye harbour in winter? if so what did you catch ive been thinking about it now for a year or 2 ....
deep shelving beach big gullies lug beds razor beds(cant find the bugger !!) deep water at high tide ...sounds perfect for cod but never met anyone who has tried

only downside i see is the river running at the side but one of my favourite s.wales marks(had 3 15lb+ there)is literally 100mtrs from a river of the same size and only when there is serious flood water or snow melt coming down do the cod stay away!! so not put off enough not to try

ive pretty much decided im gonna give it a go but obviously safety in numbers etc so im looking for a few ppl to give it a go 2hrs each side of high and see what we get

oh yeah if your not familiar to the place i forgot to mention the walk!!!! never measured it but its gotta be a mile!! but it is totally flat concrete all the way to the beach

so anyone up for it ??
