Morning all
Just wondering whether any of you guys have fished with a Shimano Dialuna S90ML 6 - 32gr rod, and if so do you have any comments, good, bad, or indifferent on it?
I generally fish using soft plastics, either bumped along the bottom, or drifted around with the tide. Generally in the 18 - 28gr weight range.
Currently using a Major Craft eu custom 9' 6" 10 - 30gr

You all know how it is .... just before the kick-off of another season. I'm sure I need another rod .... absolutely positive of it 😂😂😂

Thanks in advance 👍🏻👍🏻

I appreciate the reply @ilgetmecoat
Thanks so much.
That is the rod I'm most definitely inclined towards.
Unfortunately there's nowhere round this way I can go and have a 'waggle' so I'll be buying blind so to speak. Hence the request for reviews.

Thanks again

Ive used the S90ML and 96M. The 90 is nice with SP's/lighter stuff in calm conditions, i just found I prefer 9"6 length for some reason. 28g for the 90 would be well at the top of its range for me.

the 96M is great for into a wind/heavier stuff/hanging on near snags, bit over gunned for light stuff, but you cant have it all. Like you I also have a mc 9"6.....still not figured out how to lure fish 3 rods at once yet....

had the dialuna S90ML : lovely rod under 22-24 gr maximum , tip a bit too soft for me (but that's my opinion ;) ) , the 96M was far better and can cope from 10 to 30 gr perfectly (it's sensitivity is better too above 10 gr because the tip bends less)

since last year , for my "light" work , i purchased the lunamis 90ML : well , i must say it's realy the best 9 footer i had since a decade ( it's a big upgrade from the dialuna)=> lighter,"crisper",cast better , better balance, more power, the rating is real , tip doesn't feel soft , way more sensitive too , etc. love it ( use it mainly on the river )
sorry , don't still have pics from it ( will take them soon)

have also the lunamis 8'6M for softies , "sink & draw" method on the river to catch zander/perch/pike : very sensitive and power to stop big fish

and the 96M for seabass : also a step up from the dialuna 96 ( more sensitive , cast effortless, lighter) i enjoy it greatly when on the beach : perfect for everything under 35-36 gr (rate starts at 8-9 gr for me)

To both Phil and Sergei
Thanks so much for imparting such valuable knowledge. Couldn't have asked for anything more 👏👏👏
My mind is totally screwed now though 😂
I may have to have a rethink on what I'm after now. The Lunamis 90ML has gotta be worth a look Sergei.
I'll let you know what I opt for shortly 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks again both.

Those photos where a great help

As per usual, you are an absolute mine of useful information that can be relied on👍🏻
Thanks so much.
I'm now seriously looking forward to next week when I can get my hands on it, and get it down to my local Estuary. Way too early round this way for any 'silver' as yet ... but what the hell eh 😂
Just gotta tell the Wife now 😂😂😂

Cheers then Sergei and all the best with the fishing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

These posts are great Sergei. That is basically what should be the standard across the board for EVERY lure rod manufacturer to display on a diagram marked with degrees and suspended weight. No if's, but's or maybe's. The current rating system isn't fit for purpose and doesn't work between brands and often between models within a brand.

Also shows how much drag you can't use on a fish unless pointing the rod at the water, i doubt any of the rods displayed are taking 3kg in that bucket without going pop.

Amazing the quality you can get for under £100 these days 😂
There's gonna be some bargains to be had when I peg it.
If she sells my fishing gear off for anything like I've told her ive paid for it all 😆
Come'n and pick up a Stella for 80 quid 😱
