Hi All.

Just wondering if anyone has carried out any strenth tests on the sakuma rig clips, or has any practical experiance of their strengths or weaknesses??
Initially they look very good quality; and seem pretty strong, but they are not sold as a specific breaking strain.
I have a few and will arrange some kind of test; but anyones personal experiances would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

hook a big lead on and give one a go mate, on an empty beach!
I tried some other companies links (not gemini) when i was at home i rigged up a ratchet ro test their strenght. some went right up to around 70lb before they gave out, some were buggered before they got anywhere near.

Then i had them down the beach on plain leads with 3 anglers
one very good, smooth caster who would get a good distance regularly
one an average angler/caster
and one a terrible caster

The poor caster had more problems with the clips than any of the others. they had ten each by the way

Sakuma are a good name and should be ok and i would be interested to know the results SS

I use them on the comp field
they hold up to a 200g lead on 200+yd casts so i would say they are safe..
