have u boys & girls any veiws on the above rod thinking of getting one for my grandson aged 14 for a bit of mackie &pike spinning with it casting 1 - 3oz yours bellebust

it's a nice rod i have caught a nearly 2 1/2lb thinlip mullet on mine a few weeks ago using a mepps spinner,
also used a sidewinder eel lure but not caught any bass with it yet i need to get out more with it in the future.

very nice rod - I have one and its superb for the uses you are after

although if you want the ability to do light bait work (up to 3oz) you will get on better with the SALT flattie.

I have both and if was buying again and only allowed one I'd get the flattie cos its a better all rounder, but if you ONLY want it for spinning the 10' spin is the one you need.
