With time on my hands today i thought i'd give the rays another try with a HW 5.5m near on 3:30pm & an off shore wind, all seemed to be favourable apart from the weather which suggested light rain showers all afternoon,, so off i set for a 3 up 1 down session.
Expecting it to get crowded down their i yomped up past the 3 posts for extra space
& shortly after half 12 my baits where in the water
Slow at first but nibbles appeared on the last 2 hours of the flood resulting in the usual species
towards HW i missed or failed to hook a cracking bite which broke the lead out & gave plenty of slack line, i can only wonder what that may off been.... :fish: that being as exciting as it got today...
It appeared that i had the beach to myself for the rest of the session perhaps the weather report deterred the leisure anglers some what
lucky for me the floaty suit was with me today as it did lash it down for a short period bang on HW & with that the nibbles disappeared...
Not enough doggies to put on the plate today so i'll have to settle for yesterdays left overs
No thornie yet, but i got a boat trip booked for next month i'll bag one then for dinner !
