Any one know what sandwich bay is like to fish, and what the best time/baits are

last summer i wanted somewhere to fish where decent bass were being caught so i e mailed alan yates asking where to fish.....he directed me to sandwich bay.......the timing was wrong so we didnt have a bite...but the reports sed people were catching big bass........and there were one or 2 bass that others had caught ....very good considering the weather....

anyway...im not sure what it would be like at the moment...as a guess id say a few school bass to about 4lb.....AS A GUESS THAT IS!! as it is a deep venue to the bass will come closer in....

Didn't realise Sandwich Bay was a deep water mark, thought it was shallow and tidal. Bass don't need deep water, they come within feet of the shore in two feet of water. I catch them at rods length. and have seen them swim UNDER my rod! Very annoying.
