Hi Paul,

Have a look at this link - they are a new outfit based near Chapora so not too far from Baga.

http://www.goa-sportsfishing.com/index.htm

Fishing from rocks or at river mouths can be successful at dawn, dusk and after dark with lures for jacks, barramundi and barracuda etc...

Try the beaches at the same times with fish baits for sand sharks, guitar fish etc...

Good luck.

there is also a big boat that was beached ... when i was last there they were beginining to dismantle it but working in goa time so it should still be there... there were big fish drifting in and out from the wreck [which you can easily cast to] i dont know what fish they are but your missus can ly in the shade having a beer or a meal at a beach shack twenty yards from you

They are meant to be moving this big boat out and sinking it,they have been promising to move it for years but the beach is shrinking so much now they have to do something.Once it has been sunk again it will be great to fish

The grounded ship is called the River Princess and the Goan authorities have been threatening to remove it for a good 8, maybe 9years :eek:hmy::eek:hmy:
The Beach has to be cleaned and no trace of the vessel left on it, if the salvager wants to get paid!
It was going to be cut up and removed in sections, but as the backbone of the ship is now broken into three or more pieces it may be too much to drag out to sea?
Love Goa, love the people, but the pace they work at and deal with important issue's is bl00dy annoying:wacko:
